Our company goal is to discover and develop new therapeutic approaches based on gene silencing techniques. Within this field, Sylentis is focused on RNA interference (RNAi) techniques, a powerful tool which includes knowledge-based processes and low-cost drug discovery. Sylentis investigates new therapies both for diseases with existing treatments which could be improved and diseases for which no treatment exists.

Because of the fact that delivery is a very important part of RNAi based therapies, our company is also involved in drug delivery research projects and, in collaboration with several public and private partners, investigates new and innovative RNAi delivery systems which will allow the drug to be administered in a suitable way .

Sylentis S.A. is a R&D company owned 100% by the Zeltia Group. The company has a specialized scientific staff and its facilities are located in the headquarters of PharmaMar ( Colmenar Viejo , Madrid , Spain ), the main pharmaceutical company in the Zeltia Group.
